BANNER ELK, N.C. --- Lees-McRae College senior pole vaulter Evan Webb has been named March's Male Student-Athlete of the Month, announced College officals Monday afternoon.
Webb (Salisbury, N.C.) has been a dominate force in the pole vault all season and won the event with a height of 4.90 meters at the Power Sox Invitational in Hickory, N.C. on March 22.
The senior was tabbed Conference Carolinas' Men's Field Athlete of the Week on the 26th.
He earned a spot on the Southeast All-Region team with his performance in Hickory.
The Lees-McRae College Student-Athlete of the Month Award honors one male and one female student-athlete each much from an in-season sport during the 2013-2014 academic year, recognizing their hard work, effort, and athletic performance.
