    BANNER ELK, N.C. – After playing four non-conference matches to begin its 2018 season, the Lees-McRae College men’s volleyball team will step into Conference Carolinas action for the first time this week with a pair of road matches. The Bobcats will head to Bristol, Tenn. Wednesday to take on the Tornado of King to open league play before heading to North Greenville on Saturday to round out the week. Both matches are scheduled to begin at 7 p.m.

The Bobcats will travel to Emmanuel (GA) College Tuesday before returning home to host Mount Olive Friday and Barton Saturday. The first two games this week are scheduled to begin at 7:30 p.m. with Saturday’s contest set to begin at 4 p.m.

    The Lees-McRae College track and field programs wrapped up the Appalachian State Open with an impressive showing. The Bobcats notched 11 top 10 finishes on the two days, including six top five nods. As a their respective teams, the men’s squad finished ninth among 13 institutions, while the women’s team wrapped up the weekend 11th out of 14 teams.
