• Bobcats soar over Erskine on Senior Day, 7-0

    BANNER ELK, N.C. – 11 different members of the Lees-McRae College men’s soccer team scored at least one point as the Bobcats cruised to a 7-0 win over Erskine Saturday at Tate Field on the team’s senior day. The seven goal outburst is the most for the team since November 3, 2009 when it scored eight goals. With the win, the Bobcats improved to 8-4-3 overall and 5-3-0 in league matches.

The loss moves LMC’s record to 3-10-2 overall and 3-4-2 in league matches.

    BANNER ELK, N.C. – The Lees-McRae College women’s volleyball team announced Wednesday that Friday’s match against Belmont Abbey College will be the squad’s Dig Pink/Dig Teal match. Lottery tickets will be given to receive a free teal water bottle, courtesy of the Bobcat Club, in memory of Meme Brown. Brown is a LMC volleyball alum who passed away from ovarian cancer.

    NEWBERRY, S.C. – Senior Tom Deeley scored a pair of goals to lead the Lees-McRae College men’s soccer team to a 2-2 tie at Newberry College Wednesday afternoon in non-conference action. The Bobcats move to 7-4-3 with the tie. The three ties are the most in a season for Lees-McRae since 2012.

  • Seven LMC Cross Country Runners named Academic All-Conference

    HIGH POINT, N.C. – Seven members of the Lees-McRae College cross country programs have been named to the Academic All-Conference teams the league office announced Tuesday. Lane Graves, Shawn Graves, Brett Page and Austin Thompson were named to the squad from the men’s team, while Makayla Estep, Kaitlyn Gearing and Jordyn Halvorsen were named from the women’s team. The seven honorees was the most of any Conference Carolinas institution this season.

The loss moves Lees-McRae’s record to 3-9-2 on the season.

Sarah Beth Ashley, Noel Cassidy, Kara Cunningham, Chelsea Digregorio, Valerie Hickey, Karly McRary, Emily Merriam, Andi Milan, Gabrielle Moyer, Megan Paradise and Kara Travis all received this honor for their work in the classroom.
