BANNER ELK, N.C. --- On this week's episode of Minute with Mac, Lees-McRae College Director of Athletics Craig McPhail recaps the Bobcats' record-breaking fall season.
Each of the Bobcats' five fall teams received a bid to the NCAA Tournament for the first time in school history, as women's soccer and women's volleyball each captured their respective Conference Carolinas regular season and tournament titles to claim the league's automatic bid to the Big Dance. Men's soccer and men's and women's cross country each received an at-large bid to the NCAA Tournament as well, as the Bobcats took the early lead in the race for the 2011-2012 Conference Carolinas Joby Hawn Cup. The cycling team also enjoyed a tremendous fall, claiming the SECCC Mountain Bike championship before finishing fourth at the USA Cycling Collegiate Mountain Bike Championships.
