Cycling Starts Cyclocross Season with Strong Display at King University Tornadocross on Saturday

BRISTOL, TENN. - The Lees-McRae College cycling team began cyclocross season with a solid display at King University's Tornadocross event on Saturday (Nov. 10).

Men - The men's performance was highlighted by two top-five finishes in the A race from David Kahn (fourth) and Andrew Sparks (fifth), while Andrew Blackstone also finished ninth as LMC's third rider in the top 10. Liam Flanagan crossed the line in 12th, while Zachary Ross finished in 15th. In the B/C race, Joseph Penley finished sixth while Kent Ayers took eighth. Clancy Loorham was the final Bobcat finisher in the race, finishing in 10th.

Women - The women placed four riders in the top 10 in the A race, led by a third-place finish from Ashlyn Woods. Kiley Krasley, Erin Sferrazza and Dagny Palmer swept eighth through 10th to cement the Bobcats in the top 10.

Up Next - The Bobcats will ride again on Dec. 1 at the Southeastern Collegiate Cycling Conference (SECCC)  Cyclocross Championship hosted by Warren Wilson College in Swananoa, N.C.
