125 LMC Student-Athletes Land on Fall 2014 Conference Carolinas Presidential Honor Roll
HIGH POINT, N.C. --- The Lees-McRae athletic department is pleased to announce that 125 Lees-McRae student-athletes have been named to the Conference Carolinas Fall 2014 Presidential Honor Roll, the conference announced Friday morning.

Shields Wins National Title, Bobcats Claim Third in Omnium at Cyclocross Nationals
AUSTIN, Texas --- Senior Emily Shields claimed the national title in the women’s Division I cyclocross and the Lees-McRae cycling teams grabbed third overall in the Division I team omnium at the 2015 USA Cycling Collegiate Cyclocross Nationals in Austin, Texas.

LMC Cycling Succeeds in Sloppy Conditions at Kite Hill Challenge
CLEMSON, S.C. --- Freshman Phil Kmetz and junior Gunnar Bergey claimed top-five finishes in their respective races and junior Kaitlyn Lawrence paced the women’s team while the Lees-McRae cycling program participated at The Kite Hill Challenge over the weekend in Clemson, S.C.

BRISTOL, Tenn. --- Junior Jose Avila earned a win in the Men’s B race and sophomore Emma Klingaman swiped fourth in the Women’s A while the Lees-McRae cycling program participated at the King CX in Bristol, Tenn. over the weekend.

Kmetz Claims Two National Titles at MTB National Championships
BEECH MOUNTAIN, N.C. --- Freshman Phil Kmetz rode his way to two national championships and the Lees-McRae cycling program grabbed fifth in the omnium while the squads participated at the USA Cycling Collegiate National Mountain Bike Championships over the weekend on Beech Mountain in Beech Mountain, N.C.

It's All A Fog - Beech Mtn Series Race 2
July, August, and September in the Southeast seem to be a replay of Snowshoe one week, Beech the next, a couple weeks to collect yourself and take care of the necessities of life, then back on for two weeks to do it all over again. A week and half go it was Snowshoe and Chomolungma for 30,000 feet of descent. This past weekend it's a bit closer to home, Western North Carolina and Beech Mountain for the second of the three race series.
