HIGH POINT, N.C. --- Lees-McRae College senior Adam McFerran (Stow, Ohio) garnered all-Conference Carolinas Men's Basketball recognition for the first time in his career on Thursday, earning a spot on the third team.
McFerran paced the Bobcats in scoring (14.8), rebounding (5.6), and field goal percentage (.489) this season, posting six 20-point games and finishing the regular season ranked 11th in the conference in scoring and 14th in field goal percentage. The 6-4, 205-pound guard/forward also tallied a pair of double-doubles this season, including 17 points and 10 boards against Belmont Abbey on Jan. 27.
A native of Stow, Ohio, McFerran reached an impressive milestone on Feb. 2 at Pfeifer, pouring in 19 markers to eclipse the 1,000-point plateau for his career. McFerran finished his career strong, scoring at least 12 points in each of his final four games to conclude his career with 1,128 markers, including 652 during his two-year tenure with the Bobcats. In his Lees-McRae career, McFerran averaged 12.5 points and 4.6 rebounds per game while posting a .477 clip from the floor.
Lees-McRae is expected to return eight lettermen from this season's squad, including rising junior Daniel Sepokas (Illawong, Australia) and rising sophomores Gerry Hairston (Winston-Salem, N.C.), DeAndre Tillman (Charlotte, N.C.), Will Lopez (Sydney, Australia) and Matt Eller (Lake Norman, N.C.).
