HIGH POINT, N.C. --- Lees-McRae College senior
Adam McFerran (Stow, Ohio) garnered all-Conference Carolinas Men's
Basketball recognition for the first time in his career on
Thursday, earning a spot on the third team.
McFerran paced the Bobcats in scoring (14.8), rebounding (5.6),
and field goal percentage (.489) this season, posting six 20-point
games and finishing the regular season ranked 11th in the
conference in scoring and 14th in field goal percentage. The 6-4,
205-pound guard/forward also tallied a pair of double-doubles this
season, including 17 points and 10 boards against Belmont Abbey on
A native of Stow, Ohio, McFerran reached an impressive milestone
on Feb. 2 at Pfeifer, pouring in 19 markers to eclipse the
1,000-point plateau for his career. McFerran finished his career
strong, scoring at least 12 points in each of his final four games
to conclude his career with 1,128 markers, including 652 during his
two-year tenure with the Bobcats. In his Lees-McRae career,
McFerran averaged 12.5 points and 4.6 rebounds per game while
posting a .477 clip from the floor.
Lees-McRae is expected to return eight lettermen from this
season's squad, including rising junior Daniel Sepokas (Illawong,
Australia) and rising sophomores Gerry Hairston (Winston-Salem,
N.C.), DeAndre Tillman (Charlotte, N.C.), Will Lopez (Sydney,
Australia) and Matt Eller (Lake Norman, N.C.).
