STATESBORO, Ga. – The Lees-McRae College men's basketball team fell in an exhibition game Thursday evening to Georgia Southern, 106-51. LMC was led by freshman Cedriontis Wilson who tallied 12 points and four rebounds in his collegiate debut.
In the first half, the Bobcats outshot the Eagles from three-point range (5 to 4). Georgia Southern, however, flipped it on in the second half connecting for 10 three-pointers in 20 attempts compared to LMC's mark of 0-for-12.
Lees-McRae's strength Thursday evening was its work from the charity stripe as it shot 71 percent in 14 attempts. Wilson paced these efforts going 4-for4.
In total, 15 different players for Lees-McRae saw playing time against the Eagles and all of them saw at least five minutes of action in the contest.
The Bobcats will have eight days before their regular season opener at Tusculum on Nov. 11. Tip-off is set for 8 p.m. from Greeneville, Tenn.
