BANNER ELK, N.C. – The Lees-McRae College men's basketball team (4-13, 3-6 CC) will look to snap a two-game losing skid Tuesday when it returns to Williams Gymnasium to host North Greenville (6-11, 1-9 CC). Tip-off is set for 7:30 p.m.
Taking care of the ball – Only Pfeiffer has done a better job of taking care of the ball this season than Lees-McRae in the Conference Carolinas. LMC has a turnover margin of 2.4, which ranks 56th in Division II men's basketball out of 299 teams.
Battle Tested Bobcats – The Bobcats have played one of the toughest schedules in the country this season as they have faced five teams in this week's D2SIDA Southeast Regional Poll. Those five teams (Queens, Lincoln Memorial, Limestone, USC Aiken and Pfeiffer) have a combined record of 74-15 this season which translates to a .831 winning percentage.
Playing on Tuesday – LMC has a record of 2-2 this season while playing on Tuesday. The Bobcats knocked off Southern Wesleyan and Johnson C. Smith but fell to Winston-Salem State and No. 23 Limestone.
Series Rewind – Lees-McRae and North Greenville split the season series a year ago with both teams winning on their home court. LMC knocked off the Crusaders by 16 points at Williams Gymnasium last season, 100-84. NGU picked up a five-point win at home (78-73) when the Bobcats went to Tigerville, S.C. later in the year.
