BANNER ELK, N.C. – The Lees-McRae College men's basketball team will begin a stretch of five straight games at Williams Gymnasium Wednesday when it hosts Erskine in Conference Carolinas action. Tip-off for Wednesday's game is set for 7:30 p.m.
Last Time Out – Lees-McRae put together its third-highest point output of the season Saturday at Pfeiffer but it wasn't enough as the Falcons upended the Bobcats by a score of 134-92. Jordan Turner led LMC with 21 points in that contest.
Home on the Mountain – The Bobcats will look to rack up some victories during this season-long five-game home stand over the next few weeks. Three of LMC's five victories have come at Williams Gymnasium. This continues a trend where Lees-McRae plays its best basketball at home as it has a record of 20-12 on its home court over the past three seasons.
Steal Stat – Lees-McRae ranks 37th among 302 NCAA Division II programs in steals this season. LMC's 167 steals also is third among Conference Carolinas schools. Junior Lepreece Lynch has led these efforts with 36 steals on the season.
Donte leading the way – Junior Donte Falls has had a breakout season for Lees-McRae this season as he leads the team with 13.3 points per game and 5.5 rebounds per game. Those marks are seven points and two rebounds more than Falls averaged in his first two seasons as a Bobcat.
Series Rewind – In the matchup earlier this season the Flying Fleet downed Lees-McRae, 79-66. Despite the loss, the Bobcats are 3-2 against the Erskine over the past three seasons including a 2-0 mark at home.
