    HIGH POINT, N.C. – Lees-McRae College men’s basketball player Donte Falls has been named the Conference Carolinas Men’s Basketball Player of the Week the league office announced Monday morning. Falls joins teammate Kamil Williams as Bobcats who have been named the conference’s player of the week this season.

    BANNER ELK, N.C. – Riding a four game winning streak, the Lees-McRae College men’s basketball team will look to keep things rolling with three Conference Carolinas games on tap for this week. The Bobcats will travel to Emmanuel (GA) College Tuesday before returning home to host Mount Olive Friday and Barton Saturday. The first two games this week are scheduled to begin at 7:30 p.m. with Saturday’s contest set to begin at 4 p.m.

The victory is the team’s fourth in the row improving its record to 12-6 overall and 6-3 in conference play.

    BANNER ELK, N.C. – Seniors Donte Falls, Jordan Turner and Lepreece Lynch combined for 48 of the team’s 91 points as the Lees-McRae College men’s basketball team knocked off Erskine Monday afternoon in Williams Gymnasium, 91-81. The victory is Lees-McRae’s third straight improving its record to 11-6 overall and 5-3 in conference games.

    BRISTOL, Tenn. – In search of just its second win over rival King (Tenn.) University since 2012, the Lees-McRae College men’s basketball team had five players score in double figures to upend the Tornado Wednesday, 76-74. The win improves LMC’s record to 9-6 overall and 3-3 in league play. The nine wins surpass the team’s win total from last season.

Lees-McRae will travel to rival King (Tenn.) University Wednesday before hosting Emmanuel (GA) Saturday and Erskine Monday in Banner Elk. The matchup at King is set for a 5:30 p.m. tip-off, and the two home games against the Lions and Flying Fleet are both slated for a 4 p.m. start time.

Tuesday’s and Friday’s games are set to begin at 7 p.m., while Saturday’s game is scheduled to get underway at 4 p.m.

    BANNER ELK, N.C. – Fresh off its first weekend of regular season action, the Lees-McRae College men’s basketball team will return to the court for three games this week. LMC will begin the week with an exhibition game at UNC Asheville at 7 p.m. on Monday before participating in the Newberry Invitational on Friday and Saturday. At the invitational, the Bobcats will face Virginia State at 5 p.m. Friday before taking on Voorhees or Newberry on Saturday at either noon or 2 p.m. depending upon the result of Friday’s game.
  • Records fall as Bobcats run away from Tusculum, 119-86

    BANNER ELK, N.C. – The Lees-McRae College men’s basketball team made a bit of history Saturday evening at Williams Gymnasium as it set a new school record for points in a game during the Division II era by scoring 119 points in a 119-86 win over Tusculum. Additionally, the Bobcats racked up 19 three-pointers made, which is also a new record for the program.

    BANNER ELK, N.C. – The Lees-McRae College men’s basketball team opened its 2017-18 regular season with a tough test as it hosted the No. 2 team in the country in Lincoln Memorial Friday in Williams Gymnasium. LMC battled but ended up falling to the Railsplitters by a score of 100-80.
