
BANNER ELK, N.C. - The Lees-McRae College men's lacrosse team earned their second consecutive win with an 8-4 victory over Lake Erie College Saturday at a neutral location.
It is the first time in the programs recent history that the team has started off 2-0.
The men's team finished the game with eight different scores and only one was assisted.
Lees-McRae outshot Lake Erie 35-27 and won the ground ball battle 37-31.
The Bobcats were successful on 22 of its 28 clears and held Lake Erie's man up squad to no goals on five attempts.
In goal for Lees-McRae was junior Mike Fahey who played all 60 minutes and recorded 11 saves.
Lees-McRae's scorers were Matt Markey, Forrest MacConnell, Landon Guntman, Ryan LeBlanc, Quinn Struble, Brad Garner, Danny Ives and Jordan Shriener.
Markey recorded the only assist of the game.
Lees-McRae will return to action March 6th against Grand Canyon at another neutral location.
