Edmunds Steps Aside of Men’s Lacrosse Program

BANNER ELK, N.C. -- After five years at the helm of the Lees-McRae College men's lacrosse program, Mat Edmunds resigned late Wednesday.

Mat Edmunds spent five season as the head men's lacrosse at his alma mater. He was the first former Bobcat player to be named head coach. Edmunds is a 2002 graduate of Lees-McRae College.

"As a student-athlete and coach Mat has spent a better part of a decade at Lees-McRae College , and I thank him for the time and service he put into Bobcat lacrosse," Athletic Director Craig McPhail said.

Assistant coach, Brendan Arthur, has been named interim head coach.
