Men's Lacrosse Drops Season Finale at Belmont Abbey, 20-2

BELMONT, N.C. --- Lees-McRae senior Kyle Judge tallied a goal in his collegiate finale, but LMC was unable to overcome a 10-goal first-quarter outburst from Belmont Abbey in a 20-2 loss in a Conference Carolina tilt at Alumni Field Wednesday afternoon in Belmont, N.C.

The Crusaders (6-9, 1-3 CC) grabbed the final spot for the upcoming Conference Carolinas Men's Lacrosse Championship when Ryan Callahan and Will Chastain combined for 10 goals, including the first five of the game. The Bobcats (0-14, 0-4) held the face off advantage (3-1) in the fourth quarter while forcing 12 BAC turnovers on the afternoon.

Chastain and Callahan wasted no time while spotting the home squad to a 5-0 lead in the first 3:32 of the contest.

Judge (Hampstead, Md.) got the Bobcats on the board in the high scoring first quarter with a goal with 2:58 remaining in period.

The Crusaders responded with a 10-0 run that spanned into the fourth quarter while Connor Sellars chipped in with two of his game-high five assists.

LMC sophomore Schuylor Dickerson (Crozet, Va.) notched his team-high 14th goal of the season with 6:16 remaining in the contest.

Judge and Dickerson notched eight of LMC's 14 shots on the afternoon while sophomore Alex Poole (Winston-Salem, N.C.) recorded a team-high four groundballs.

BAC had two players register 11 groundballs while nine different Crusaders tallied a goal.

Judge averaged a goal a game in his senior season and had two assists.
