BOCA ROTON, Fla. – Lynn University scored 14 times in the opening 15 minutes to power a 22-2 victory over the Lees-McRae College men's lacrosse team Saturday morning. LMC's record dips to 0-1 with the defeat.
Lees-McRae scored once in the second and once in the fourth to account for all of its scoring Saturday. Blaine Stottlar got the Bobcats on the board with 12:34 to go in the second, while LMC's fourth quarter goal came from Alec Molander. The two goals were assisted by freshman Wyatt Daziel, who picked up his first collegiate point with that assist, and Dane Carney.
Cameron Castle took the loss in goal for Lees-McRae after making 11 saves in 55 minutes in net. Freshman Devon Wolf made his collegiate debut Saturday as he played the final five minutes of the contest.
LMC will open its home schedule Feb. 19 when it hosts Roberts Wesleyan at Tate Field. First faceoff is scheduled for 2 p.m.
