GREENEVILLE, Tenn. – The Lees-McRae College men's lacrosse team fell on the road at Tusculum University Saturday afternoon in non-conference action by the score of 23-8. The loss pushes Lees-McRae's record to 0-2 on the young season.
Tusculum jumped on the Bobcats early scoring six of the first seven goals and 11 of the 13 goals in the first half. Lees-McRae rebounded to net five goals in the third quarter but by then the game was out of reach.
Craig Barr paced Lees-McRae with three points Saturday with a pair of goals and an assist. Matt Clary also scored a pair of goals as well. Lees-McRae's other four goals came from the quartet of Jake Leath, Ryan Beauchamp, Ethan Knight and Landon Barrow. For Barrow, his goal in the third quarter marked his first collegiate goal.
The Bobcats will return to action next Friday when they visit Montreat College in another non-conference tilt. First face-off for that game is set for 5 p.m.
