BANNER ELK, N.C. – The Lees-McRae College men's lacrosse team will be back in action this week with a pair of home games against No. 15 Lindenwood on Thursday and Alderson Broaddus on Saturday. Thursday's contest is set to begin at 4 p.m., while Saturday's tilt will get underway at noon.

Last time out – Lees-McRae rallied from a six-goal deficit to force overtime but ultimately fell in the extra period at Emmanuel (GA) College, 16-15, in its last time out. The loss moved Lees-McRae's record to 3-6 overall and 0-4 within Conference Carolinas play.

Senior Day on Saturday – Prior to Saturday's game against Alderson Broaddus, the team will honor its three seniors: Alec Molander, Cameron Castle and Tristan Hashemi. All three players have made a definite impact on the program during their four years in Banner Elk including several individual records, most wins in a four-year stretch in the history of the program and the winningest season in program history.

Back Home on Tate Field – After playing its first two home games of the season in Boone, North Carolina, the Bobcats will make their long awaited return to Tate Field this week. The last time the Bobcats played on Tate Field they knocked off Emmanuel back on April 7, 2018 by a score of 20-7.

Another Ranked Opponent – When Lindenwood rolls into Banner Elk on Thursday, the Lions will be the third ranked opponent the Bobcats have faced this season. Lindenwood, which is ranked No. 15 in the latest national poll, will be the first ranked opponent to visit Tate Field since No. 15 Belmont Abbey came to Banner Elk back on April 19, 2017.

About Lindenwood and Alderson Broaddus – The nationally-ranked Lions enter Thursday's matchup with the Bobcats boasting a record of 8-3 in 2019. Lindenwood, however, will hit the road for just the third time this season when it visits the High Country on Thursday.

Alderson Broaddus, meanwhile, comes into the week with a 1-8 overall record and a 0-2 mark in G-MAC play. The Battlers have lost six straight games with their last victory coming back on February 23 against Chowan, 15-9.

Series Histories vs. Opponents – There isn't a ton of history between the Bobcats and their two opponents this week. Lees-McRae and Lindenwood have matched up just once before with that matchup occurring back in 2012. The Lions won that tilt by a 14-9 final score. As for the series against ABU, the Bobcats and Battlers have split the two previous meetings. Alderson Broaddus won the last matchup with the Bobcats back in 2016, 19-4, but the Bobcats won the lone game played in Banner Elk back in 2015, 13-9.
