    MOUNT OLIVE, N.C. – Lees-McRae College men’s lacrosse player Alec Molander was named to the All-Conference Carolinas Second Team at the league’s banquet on Friday afternoon. Molander becomes the first Bobcat ever to be named to three All-Conference teams during their career.

    MURFREESBORO, N.C. – The Lees-McRae College men’s lacrosse team fell on the road to Chowan University Saturday afternoon by a score of 21-16. The loss closed out the 2019 season for the Bobcats and moved their overall record to 4-10 overall and 0-7 within conference action.

    HIGH POINT, N.C. – Seven Lees-McRae College lacrosse players were recognized for their work in the classroom Thursday as they were named to their respective Academic All-Conference teams by the league office. The women’s team had three honorees in Beth Haynes, Patterson Jones and Christa Tumminello, while the men’s squad had four players recognized in Alec Molander, Cameron Castle, Caleb Culverhouse and Ryan Beauchamp.

    BANNER ELK, N.C. – The Lees-McRae College men’s lacrosse team fell to No. 7 Belmont Abbey Saturday afternoon at Tate Field in its final home contest of the season by a score of 16-2. The contest was shortened to four 8-minute quarters due to field conditions and a lightning delay of over an hour. Lees-McRae moves to 4-9 overall and 0-6 within conference play with the result Saturday.

Despite Molander’s and the rest of the Bobcats’ best efforts, Lees-McRae fell to the Lions, 19-18.
