Up Close & Personal with Diego Cordeiro

Banner Elk, NC--Join us as we begin a series of interviews with the Bobcats. First up is senior midfielder Diego Cordeiro from Orlando, FL.

1. What made you decide to come to Lees-McRae?

I came to Lees-McRae to play soccer.

2. How long have you been playing soccer?

I have been playing for 15 years.

3. What are your personal goals for this season?

My goals are to win the conference or make it to nationals on my last year.

4. What is your favorite soccer memory here at Lees-McRae so far.

The victory we had over Clayton state.

5. Who has been the most influential person on your athletic career?

My father

6. If you weren't playing soccer, what other sport would you play?

I would play basketball.

7. What is your major and what do you plan to do with your degree?

I'm majoring in Criminal Justice and would like to be a probation officer in Orlando, FL.

8. What is your favorite book?

Any of the books in the Goosebumps series

9. What is your favorite food?

It is seafood.


10. If you could visit any place in the world, where would it be?

I would visit Spain.

11. What is one word that describes you and why?

SPIC… Spanish Person In Control

Diego's Story … I was playing for my club team, the Orange County Strikers in Orlando when I got recruited by LMC.
