Up Close & Personal with Ignacio Falco

Banner Elk, NC--Today we get to know sophomore midfielder/defender Ignacio Falco. This Business Administration major played for Cypress Bay before coming to Lees-McRae. Falco, sidelined for an injury, is set to return to the field this week for the Bobcats.

1. What made you decide to come to Lees-McRae? It's a great place to study and play soccer. I also find lots of free time here.

2. How long have you been playing soccer? I'm not sure, but I'd say 14 years.

3. What are your personal goals for this season? I want to recover completely from my fracture and help the team in any way I can.

4. What's your favorite soccer memory here at Lees-McRae so far? The hunger you have every game day, it makes me want to play and do my best.

5. Who has been the most influential person on your athletic career? Javier Zanetti, he's my role model. Also the LMC coaching staff; they have great passion for the game.

6. If you weren't playing soccer, what other sport would you play? I'd play professional dodge ball. I'd also like to race cars.

7. What is your major and what do you plan to do with your degree? Business Administration... I'd like to take it a step further and go to grad school for International Business.

8. What is your favorite book? I do not have one.

9. What is your favorite food? I'd say anything that my girlfriend cooks. She makes great Bulgarian food.

10. If you could visit any place in the world, where would it be? I would travel to Milan, Italy and also Bulgaria.

11. What is one word that describes you and why? Strong... I have been through too many things but there's something in me that makes me put my mind in the right place and solve problems one by one.

Ignacio's Story... I'm a returning student/athlete. I was here two years ago, and then I went home for personal reasons, but I missed this place and my team everyday. That's the number one reason why I am back.
