Up Close & Personal with Ignacio Falco

Hailing from Weston, Florida, Ignacio Falco is next up in our series of interviews with the Bobcats. A defender for the Bobcats on the field, the junior can also be found in the classroom pursuing a degree in business administration.

1. What made you decide to come to Lees-McRae College? I think it is a great place to play soccer and study.

2. What are you most looking forward to this season? I am looking forward to everyday training, claiming a starting spot and helping the team to go far.

3. In which part of the game does your strength lie? My hard work ethic is one of my strengths.

4. What do you do to prepare yourself for matches? I just try to relax.

5. Who has had the biggest impact on your soccer career? Javier Zanetti (inter Milan captain)

6. What is your favorite part about being a member of the Bobcat soccer team? I like being a part of this solid squad.

7. What personal and team goals have you set for this season? My personal goals are to claim a starting spot. As for the team, I would like to see us going to the Final Four and then on to the Championships.

8. What is the biggest mental challenge you face on the field? No mental challenges that I can think of. I just want stay healthy and work hard.

9. Who has been the biggest role model in your life? How? Father and Mother… They always give good advice and are always there for me.

10. What is your idea of a perfect afternoon? Spending time with my girlfriend and watching some European football sounds perfect.

11. If you could try something new today what would you try and why? I would travel to other places in the world and other cities in Venezuela that I have never visited. Why? Because it is great to experience new places and new cultures.

12. Describe your favorite dessert. Banana Cheesecake at Zuzda's at Banner Elk.
