Squires Earns All-American Honors and All-Southeast Region Honors, Parker and Paradise Take Home All-Southeast Region Honors

BANNER ELK, N.C. - Lee Squires earned Second Team All-American Awards and First Team All-Southeast Region, Dale Parker earned First Team All-Southeast Region and Sean Paradise earned Third Team All-Southeast Region according to the 2008 NSCAA/adidas NCAA Division II Men All-American Teams and All-Southeast Region Teams.


Squires (Sheffield, England) earns his second All-American award of the year after earning Daktronics Second Team All-American. Squires finished the season ranked third in the nation in goals per game with 25 goals in 21 games, 1.19 goals per game. He also finished the season ranked fifth in points per game, with 25 goals and two assists for a total of 52 points in 21 games, 2.48 points per game.

Parker (Worksop, England) joined Squires on the First Team All-Southeast Region Team. Parker anchored the Bobcat defense with his solid center-back play all season. He led a defense ranked 23rd in the nation in goals allowed averaged, 23 goals in 2221 minutes allowing 23 goals against for an average of .93, and a team ranked 19th in shutout percentage. The team had 10 shutouts in 23 games for an average of .43.

Paradise (North Port, Fla.) earned Third Team All-Southeast Region honors after his solid play in goal this season for the Bobcats. He is ranked 28th in the nation in goals against average. He played in 17 games recorded 1557 minutes and allowed 17 goals for an average of .9883 goals against.

The Bobcats finished the season 17-3-3 and ranked 13 nationally after making their second consecutive Sweet Sixteen appearance in the NCAA Tournament.
