MARS HILL, N.C. - No. 11 Lees-McRae College scored early in the first half to leave Mars Hill with a 1-0 victory in the Ammons Family Athletic Center and Meares Stadium in nonconference action Tuesday night.

The Bobcats improved to 2-0 on the season, while Lions fell to 0-2-1 on the year.

The Bobcats scored the match winner at the 13:56 mark when Dale Parker scored off a header on a corner kick from Berin Boracic. It was Parker's first goal of the season and Boracic's first assist.

Lees-McRae out shot the Lions 9-3 and had seven more corner kicks than Mars Hill, 9-2.

Sean Paradise earned the win with two saves for the Bobcats in net. Alex Huckabee was saddle with the loss and made three saves for the Lions.
