Bobcats listed in NCAA Statistics

INDIANAPOLIS --- Senior forward Lee Squires (Sheffield, U.K.) tallied four goals in the Bobcats' last two matches to enter the week listed among the nation's top 20 scorers in four statistical categories, announced NCAA officials Tuesday with the release of the NCAA Division II men's soccer statistics.

Lees-McRae (10-3-2, 6-0-1 CC) enters the week having recorded a result in nine of its last 10 matches, including a 2-1 win over then No. 17 Mars Hill on Wednesday to vault into fifth in this week's NCAA Division II Southeast Region poll. The Bobcats begin the week ranked 29th in the nation in winning percentage (0.733), 29th in scoring offense (2.27), 34th in total goals (34.0), and 48th in team goals against average (1.01).

Squires has found the back of the net in each of his last three matches to vault into the Conference Carolinas lead in goals (12), and points (29), which also rank 13th and 16th in the nation, respectively. The 5-10, 165-pound forward is also ranked 14th in goals per match (0.8), 19th in points per contest (1.93), and 70th in total assists (5.0).

Sophomore Luke Perry (Cheshire, U.K.) posted five assists last week, including a season- and career-high four helpers on Saturday against St. Andrews, to vault into 14th in the nation in total assists (8.0) and 22nd in helpers per match (0.53). Freshman Justin Jones (Jamestown, N.C.) continues to be ranked among the nation's top playmakers, entering the week listed 22nd in total assists (7.0) and 35th in helpers per contest (0.47).

James Galvani (High Wycombe, U.K.) begins the week ranked 51st in total points (21.0), 59th in total goals (8.0), 65th in markers per match (1.4), and 70th in total assists (5.0). The freshman forward is also listed 78th in goals per match (0.53) and 91st in assists per contest (0.33). Freshman goalkeeper Thomas Rusling (Sheffield, U.K.) is also ranked 39th in goals against average (0.965) after recording his 12th match allowing one goal or less on Saturday against St. Andrews.

Lees-McRae returns to the pitch on Tuesday when the Bobcats travel to Due West, S.C. to take on Erskine College in a Conference Carolinas match at 7 p.m.
