Saturday's Soccer Matches Moved to Friday Due to Weather

BANNER ELK, N.C. --- The men’s and women’s soccer matches against Emmanuel (Ga.) scheduled for Nov. 1 have been moved to Friday, Oct. 31 due to a cold front coming through the Banner Elk area, announced Lees-McRae Vice President of Athletics and Club Sports Craig McPhail.

The men’s team will start action at 3 p.m. Oct. 31 at Tate Field and will honor its seniors prior to the match. The women’s match will start at approximately 5 p.m. and will honor its seniors before play commences.

Banner Elk is expecting a high of 28 degrees with wind chills in the low teens on Saturday.

The men’s team will play in the Conference Carolinas Quarterfinals on Monday, Nov. 3, but the time, location and opponent are to be determined. The Bobcats can finish as high as third and as low as sixth in the conference standings.

The women’s squad will travel for their Quarterfinals match on Tuesday, Nov. 4, but the opponent, location and time are still to be determined.

Both matches will be broadcasted on the Bobcats Sports Network.
