    GREENVILLE, S.C. – The Lees-McRae College men’s soccer team was picked to finish fourth in the 2019 Conference Carolinas Preseason Coaches’ Poll. The trio of Anders Stoakes, Agustin Ortiz and Johannes Oeksnevad were recognized as players to watch for the team this fall.
  • Lees-McRae Names Shane Calvert New Head Men’s Soccer Coach

    BANNER ELK, N.C. – Lees-McRae College Vice President of Athletics and Club Sports Craig McPhail announced on Friday that Shane Calvert has been named the new head coach of the men’s soccer program. Calvert, who is the tenth head coach in the history of the program, brings several years of coaching experience at the high school and collegiate levels to Banner Elk.

    BANNER ELK, N.C. – The Lees-McRae College men’s soccer team announced its 2019 recruiting class Friday afternoon. This is Head Coach Rich Wall’s fourth recruiting class at Lees-McRae. In his previous classes, he’s produced the 2017 Conference Carolinas Freshman of the Year – Johannes Oeksnevad, as well as other All-Conference/All-Region selections, Harvey McMorrow and Agustin Ortiz. The 2019 class signings represent domestic student-athletes from North Carolina, South Carolina, Florida, Ohio, and Illinois – to go along with three international student-athletes representing England, Spain, and Sweden.

    BANNER ELK, N.C. – The Lees-McRae College men’s soccer team released its 2019 schedule Wednesday afternoon. The Bobcats are scheduled to compete in 15 matches this fall with seven of those contests set to be played on Tate Field.
