    BANNER ELK, N.C. – Due to impending wet weather set to move into the area this weekend, Saturday’s soccer matches have been altered for both the Lees-McRae College women’s and men’s soccer teams. The women’s match will now be played at 11 a.m. Saturday morning at Tate Field, while the men’s match will be played on November 4 at 6 p.m. at Tate Field.

  • Men’s Soccer honored with Team Academic Award

    KANSAS CITY, Mo. – The Lees-McRae College men’s soccer program was honored for its work in the classroom during the 2018-19 academic year by receiving the Team Academic Award from United Soccer Coaches late Tuesday afternoon. It marks the third straight season that the Bobcats have earned this honor.

Calvert, who is the tenth head coach in the history of the program, brings several years of coaching experience at the high school and collegiate levels to Banner Elk.

    BANNER ELK, N.C. – The Lees-McRae College men’s soccer team announced its 2019 recruiting class Friday afternoon. This is Head Coach Rich Wall’s fourth recruiting class at Lees-McRae. In his previous classes, he’s produced the 2017 Conference Carolinas Freshman of the Year – Johannes Oeksnevad, as well as other All-Conference/All-Region selections, Harvey McMorrow and Agustin Ortiz. The 2019 class signings represent domestic student-athletes from North Carolina, South Carolina, Florida, Ohio, and Illinois – to go along with three international student-athletes representing England, Spain, and Sweden.
