Saints Snap Bobcats Winning Streak

The Lees-McRae Bobcats tennis team hosted Carolinas Virginia Athletic Conference foe Limestone College Thursday afternoon, falling 9-0 to the Saints, who remain atop the CVAC leaderboard with a 3-0 record. The Bobcats fell to 2-3 in CVAC action, 4-5 overall.

Shaun Sumner entered the contest with a 6-2 record in singles play was forced to retire in the first match of singles action between the teams. The Saints capitalized on the momentum of a hard fought 9-8 win in doubles play, coupled with Sumner's retiring, to sweep the Bobcats. Alek Mojski, (pictured top left) tried to get the Bobcats back into contention battling Phillipe Hogan in tightest match of the day, but would fall 7-6, 7-5 (10-8).

The Bobcats will take on Armstrong Atlantic Monday afternoon in Savannah, GA. Action is set to begin at 3:00pm.
