Sumner and Mojski Named All CVAC

Lees-McRae College Bobcats tennis players Shean Sumner and Alek Mojski were named to the Carolinas-Virginia Athletic Conference team, announced this evening at the Awards Banquet held prior to the upcoming conference tournament hosted at Erskine College this weekend.

Sumner, (Burlington, NC), played at the number one singles position all season going 15-5, exploding on the scene in his first season of collegiate tennis as a First Team All CVAC honoree. After starting the year 5-0, Sumner, (pictured top left), went 1-4 over his next five games. At 6-4, Sumner regained his early season form and rattled off nine straight wins to lead the Bobcats this season. Sumner also registered an 11-9 record in doubles play.

Mojski, (Berlin, Germany), played at the number two singles position for the Bobcats this season, his first in collegiate tennis, earning All-CVAC Honorable Mention honors. Mojski, (pictured bottom left), earned an 11-9 record in singles play and also went 14-8 in doubles action.

The Bobcats, as the #5 seed, will face #4 seed Mount Olive College Friday morning at 9:00am.
