Tennis Announces Men's Commitment

Lees-McRae College tennis coach Paul Goode announced that North Carolina native Jesse Laughrun has committed to the Bobcats and will enroll at Lees-McRae this fall.

A native of Burnsville, NC, Laughrun recently completed an impressive high school career earning Western Highlands All Conference all four seasons. Capping his career with a Most Valuable Player Award, Laughrun earned the #1 seed in each of the past three seasons in both singles and doubles play. Laughrun qualified for the North Carolina State High School Regional Championships three times in singles play and twice in doubles action. Laughrun also earned two Western Highlands Conference Championships, (singles & team).

Jesse managed to transfer his success on the court into the classroom as a three time Academic All Conference nominee and a member of the National Honor Society. Laughrun was also named to the prestigious Who's Who Among American High School Students listing this past year and was also nominated for the Wendy's High School Heisman.
