HIGH POINT, N.C. -- Lees-McRae College's Nandor Solymosi (7-5 overall, 4-0 conf.) has been selected as the NCAA Division II Conference Carolinas men's tennis Player of the Week during week number four in the 2009 season.

upsets over #21 Augusta State and #36 Queens University of
Solymosi went a combined 6-0 in his doubles and singles matches. Solymosi didn't drop a singles set at the number one position and only lost seven of the 31 sets at the doubles.
In his first match of the week, Solymosi won both of his matches to earn two crucial points for the Bobcats in their 5-4 win over #21 Augusta State.
In his second match, Solymosi again earned two points in the Bobcats, 9-0 shutout, over #36 ranked Queens.
Twenty-four hours later Solymosi earned his third straight set victory with a doubles win to lead the Bobcats to a 7-2 triumph over Conference Carolinas foe Barton.
Solymosi is riding an eight match singles win streak, and at doubles Solymosi and Graham Battle are riding their own eight match win streak.
Solymosi currently has the Bobcats sitting atop the Conference Carolinas with a 4-0 record.
This is the second time this season that Solymosi has earned Conference Carolinas Player of the Week honors.
