BANNER ELK, N.C. - The No. 39 Lees-McRae College men's tennis team has clinched at least a share of the regular season Conference Carolinas title with a 6-3 win over the No. 31 Limestone College Saints Tuesday afternoon.

VanHoy took an early 6-3 lead at his fourth position, but when the rains came VanHoy fell in the second set 4-6. When the match went indoors, VanHoy took advantage of the crowd and clinched the match with a 6-3 set three win.

Steve Karendal added the finishing touches with a three set win at his sixth position to give the Bobcats a 6-3 win.

With the win, the Bobcats improve to 12-5 overall and 7-0 in the conference, while the Saints fall to 5-4 overall and 1-2 in the conference.

"The guys earned this," said head coach Paul Goode. "I feel like they have outworked every team in the conference, and I am so proud of them and their performance today and throughout the season."

The Bobcats were scheduled to play their final conference match of the season against Pfeiffer, Wednesday, but with impending inclement weather the match has been postponed.
