Bobcat Runner Breaks Fifteen Minutes in 5K at Wake Forest Open

Winston-Salem, NC--The Bobcats men's track team were in Winston-Salem for the Wake Forest Open track meet this past weekend and saw some really good performances. Topping the list was junior Lewis Martin's 5k performance as he became the 1st Bobcat to break 15 minutes for the 3.1 mile distance in a time of 14:58.

Teammate Josh Blanc had the race of his career as the junior set a personal record in the 5k with a time of 16:09. Also, Chris Holstein had a personal best time of 9:11 in the 3000m race.

Brad Tanis and Nathan Smith improved on their 400m hurdle times with solid performances. The freshmen ran well as Tanis ran 1:00; and Smith 1:02.
