Boone, NC--Competing at the ASU Limited Open Indoor meet on Friday evening, three school records were broken by the LMC men's track and field team. Leading the way was Alan Bachman (Nanjemoy, MD) who won the 500m dash in a school record time of 1:04.64. Bachman also set the program 300m dash record with a time of 35.16 seconds en route to a second place finish in that event.
Not to be outdone, sophomore Jonathan Arthur (Pine Level, NC) surpassed his own school record in the men's pole vault with a leap of 4.60m (15'-1") to place 3rd in the event.
Rounding out the competition was fellow sophomore Joe Daher (Mount Dora, FL) who put the shot 13.93m (45ft-8in) to better his program record.
"I'm proud of what these three young men have accomplished during the indoor season. They have put themselves into a position to perform very well in the outdoor season and peak during our conference championship meet in April," says coach Scott Myers.
Overall, the Bobcats competed well as a team. A number of other athletes had season best performances in their respective events.
The men's track & field team will continue their indoor season at Clemson University on February 15-16.
