HIGH POINT, N.C. - Lees-McRae College's Brad Tanis has been selected as the NCAA Division II Conference Carolinas men's track Athlete of the Week during week number four in the 2009 outdoor season.
The junior led the Lees-McRae men's track team with an outstanding performance at the Aggie Relays at North Carolina A&T this week.
The junior from Midland Park, New Jersey posted a time of 56.08 in the 400m hurdles. Racing against a field comprised of Division I and Division II athletes; Tanis finished 10th of 25 racers.
His time puts him in first place in the Conference Carolinas by two seconds in the 400m hurdles.
