LENOIR, N.C. - Jon Arthur cleared a height of 5.05 meters, 16'08", to win the Lenoir-Rhyne PoweSox Invitational's pole vault and to automatically qualify him for NCAA Division II Track and Field Meet at Angelo State University in Texas.
Arthur's height also placed him first in the Conference
Carolinas. Arthur had an impressive indoor season and just missed
qualifying for the indoor championship by finishing a few places
off the list, but his height guarantees him a trip to the outdoor
championship meet.
