Bobcats headline Southeast Region for third straight week

NEW ORLEANS --- The Lees-McRae College men's track and field team continues to lead the way in the United States Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association Indoor Southeast Region poll, announced UTSFCCCA officials Tuesday.

Lees-McRae has enjoyed a tremendous amount of success this season, placing 11 student-athletes in the top-10 so far this winter, while setting a pair of new program records. Freshman Chris Turner (Clemson, S.C.) set a program-record at the ASU Track & Field Invitational on Dec. 4, posting a mark of 1.93 meters in the high jump. Sophomore Josh Oliver (North Wilkesboro, N.C.) also turned in a highlight performance at the ASU Invitational, posting a posted a school-record performance of 6.75 seconds in the 55-meter dash competition.

The Bobcats return to action on Feb. 18 when they travel to Boone, N.C. to participate in the ASU Invitational, hosted by Appalachian State University.
