Bobcats continue to top Southeast Region poll

NEW ORLEANS --- The Lees-McRae College men's track and field team sits atop the United States Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association Southeast Region poll for the fifth straight week, announced USTFCCCA officials Tuesday.

The Bobcats posted one of their best performances of the indoor season this past weekend, tallying 10 personal bests, as well as a new school record in the 55-meter dash by Brandon Williams (Raleigh, N.C.) Lees-McRae also placed nine athletes in the top five, including a second-place finish by Williams in the 200-meter dash and a third-place showing by Bradley King (Hildebran, N.C.) in the 400-meter run.

Lees-McRae returns to action on Mar. 5 when the Bobcats travel to Hickory, N.C. to take part in the Power Sox Invitational, hosted by Lenoir-Rhyne University.
