NEW ORLEANS --- The Lees-McRae College men's track and field team sits atop the United States Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association Southeast Region poll for the fourth consecutive week, announced USTFCCCA officials Wednesday.
Lees-McRae tops the poll with a total of 330.98, followed by King College (273.44), Mount Olive College (260.25), Mars Hill College (246.65), and Clayton State University (235.29). Lenoir-Rhyne University is sixth with a mark of 192.19, followed by Anderson University (185.78), Limestone College (179.15), and Queens University of Charlotte (122.13).
The Bobcats performed well last weekend at the Kent Taylor Invitational Indoor Track and Field Meet, posting six top-10 finishes as a team. Sophomore Evan Webb (Salisbury, N.C.) recorded a personal-best of 4.61 meters in the pole vault, finishing sixth in the event as junior Kevin Dever (Leesburg, N.J.) placed seventh with a mark of 4.31 meters.
Lees-McRae returns to action on Friday when the Bobcats travel to Boone, N.C. to take part in Appalachian State University's Pre-Conference Meet.
