McNeely Sets New Personal Record at ETSU Invite

JOHNSON CITY, Tenn. --- Lees-McRae sophomore Cody McNeely set a new personal record in the 800-meter run while the Lees-McRae track and field teams participated at the ETSU Invitational over the weekend in Johnson City, Tenn.

McNeely (Salisbury, N.C.) conquered the 800-meter run in 1:59.29 to claim 13th overall in a heavy DI-field.

Freshman Kyandra Anderson (College Park, Ga.) continued her impressive campaign with a top-25 finish in the 400-meter dash with a time of 60.07 seconds.

The men’s distance medley team earned a top-10 finish by claiming 10th with a time of 11:31.14.

Freshman Christian Parker (Richmond, Va.) turned in a time of 50.92 seconds in the 400-meter dash.

LMC’s men’s 4x400 squad finished 13th with a time 3:25.32.

Coach Ley Fletcher’s teams will travel to Winston-Salem, N.C., Sunday, Feb. 22 for the Conference Carolinas Indoor Track & Field Championships.
