BANNER ELK, N.C. – The Lees-McRae College track & field programs will resume their indoor seasons this weekend when they take part in the ETSU Invitational. The meet will take place Jan. 13-14 inside the Mountain States Health Alliance Athletics Center in Johnson City, Tenn.
In their first indoor meet, the Bobcats notched a pair of top 10 finishes when it competed at the JDL Kickoff Classic in Winston-Salem, N.C. Kendall Isler and Joshua Cady both finished seventh in their respective events for the best finishes by the Bobcats. Isler, who is a former member of the LMC men's basketball team, notched a height of 1.90m in the high jump, while Cady logged a height of 4.15m in the pole vault.
The action will begin Friday morning at 9 a.m. with the women's weight throw and will wrap up at 5:45 p.m. with the men's 5000m run. The meet will resume 8 a.m. Saturday morning with the women's 3000m run and will conclude with the men's 4 x 400m relay around 6:40 p.m.
