JOHNSON CITY, Tenn. – Senior Kendall Isler notched a pair of top 10 finishes to highlight the final day of the Buccaneer Invitational Saturday for the Lees-McRae College track & field programs. In addition to the two top 10 nods by Isler, LMC notched two more on the day to finish with six on the weekend.
In Isler's first top 10 finish of the day, the Birmingham, Ala. Native tied the program's indoor record in the triple jump with a mark of 14.05m. That leap was good enough for a seventh place finish in that event. Isler also finished fourth in the high jump with a leap of 1.98m. Both marks are personal bests for Isler and they rank first and second in the conference this season in those two respective events.
Lees-McRae's other top 10 finishes came in the track events Saturday. The team of Haanes Hyuck, Cody McNeely, Matthew Darden and Dalton Tallent finished eighth in the 4x400m Relay race out of 16 teams that participated.
McNeely accounted for the final top 10 finish on the day with a 10th place nod in the 800m run with a time of 1:55.90. That mark is a season-best mark for McNeely and ranks third among conference runners this season.
