HIGH POINT, N.C. – Lees-McRae College men's volleyball players Keenan Freitas (Hilo, Hawaii) and John Sobel (Holbrook, N.Y.) were named to All-Conference Carolinas teams the league office announced Friday afternoon. The two honorees are the most for the program since 2013 when the Bobcats had four players received All-Conference honors.

Freitas was named to the All-Conference Carolinas Second Team after leading the Bobcats with 291 digs on the season. The Hilo, Hawaii native also paced the conference with those 291 digs and currently leads the nation in that category.

Sobel, meanwhile, received All-Conference Third Team honors Friday. Sobel paced LMC with 288 kills in 2017 and averaged 3.00 kills per set this season. Sobel's 288 kills finished third among Conference Carolinas attackers behind King's Jeff Sprayberry (350) and Mount Olive's Robert Poole (290).
