HIGH POINT, N.C. – Lees-McRae College men's volleyball player Hector Serviat has been named to Academic All-Conference team by the league office on Monday.

Serviat was one of 18 student-athletes that were named to the 2018 Conference Carolinas Men's Volleyball Academic All-Conference Team for maintaining a cumulative grade point average of 3.25 or higher on a 4.0 scale.  GPA is calculated based on the student-athlete's cumulative average through the previous semester, and each student-athlete must have attended their member institution for at least one academic year. Academic All-Conference Teams are comprised of juniors and seniors who play in one of Conference Carolina's twenty-one sponsored sports.

Each year the Academic All-Conference Teams are released as part of the championship season.  Men's volleyball will begin tournament play on Tuesday, April 17. After the first round, the highest remaining seed will host the rest of the tournament, scheduled for April 20-21.

Serviat and the rest of the Bobcats will return to action on Tuesday when they open the Conference Carolinas tournament against King University. First serve for that match is set for 6:30 p.m.
