HIGH POINT, N.C. – Lees-McRae College men's volleyball player Hector Serviat was named to the Academic All-Conference team by the league office Friday afternoon. Serviat was one of 21 men's volleyball student-athletes to receive this honor.
The Conference Carolinas Academic All-Conference team is comprised of junior and senior student-athletes who have competed in a conference-sponsored sport and maintained a cumulative grade point average of 3.25 or higher on a 4.0 scale in all work completed at their member institution. The GPA is calculated based on the student-athlete's cumulative average through the previous semester and each student-athlete must have attended their member institution for at least one academic year.
It marks the second straight season that Serviat has been named to the Academic All-Conference squad. This honor is the latest in Serviat's final season as a Bobcat. The Miami, Florida native will graduate this spring from Lees-McRae ranking top 10 all-time in program history in: kills, aces, solo blocks, block assists, total blocks, points scored, sets played and matches played.
