Trimble Leads Bobcats to 2008 USTFCCCA All-Academic Team

BANNER ELK, N.C. - The Lees-McRae College men's cross country team has been named to a 2008 USTFCCCA All-Academic Team with a 3.030 team grade point average.

The Bobcats are one of only two teams from the Conference Carolinas represented and one of six teams from the southeast region represented.

Nate Trimble received the USTFCCCA All-Academic Individual Award honors for the Bobcats. Trimble, a junior from Spring, Texas, is a wildlife biology major at Lees-McRae.

"This is a great group of guys who did what they needed to in and out of the classroom," head coach Craig McPhail said. "They represented the college in an honorable fashion, and I am so proud of their efforts."

During the season the team finished second in the Conference Carolinas Meet and fifth at the NCAA Southeast Region Meet.
