Cross Country wraps up races in Boone

BOONE, N.C. – The Lees-McRae College cross country programs wrapped up their second races of the 2019 season Friday afternoon in Boone.

Much like her first collegiate race, Deanna Betzer led the way for the women's team. Betzer logged a time of 20:35.81. Betzer shaved nearly a full minute off of her time from the previous race back on September 6.

Tristin Bertie paced the men's team with a time of 27:28.29, which placed him 16th among the 28-runner field. Andrew Ybarra wasn't too far behind Bertie for the team-lead finishing 19th with a time of 28:10.85.

The Bobcats will be back in action next Friday with a trip to Charlotte to compete in the Queen City Invite.
