BANNER ELK, N.C. -- Lees-McRae head women's softball coach Julie Kennedy is pleased to announce the addition of Nicole Salado of Eastside High School in Taylors, South Carolina to the Lady Bobcats squad.
Salado, who is expected to compete for the shortstop position, had a .931 fielding percentage through 15 games in her senior season.
A strong offensive player as well, Salado has either scored or driven in 45 percent of the runs that Eastside has scored. She touts a .500 batting average, a .565. on-base percentage, and a .725 slugging percentage with two homeruns, 22 RBI and 12 runs scored. Salado also has a K/BB ratio of one.
"Nicole has great hands defensively and a strong bat. As a
person she is goal-oriented and really fits in well with our team,"
Kennedy said. "We couldn't be happier that she chose Lees-McRae
