LMC Softball Loses Two at Pfeiffer

MISENHEIMER, N.C. --- The Lees-McRae softball team fell twice to Pfeiffer in Conference Carolinas play Saturday afternoon at Jack Ingram Field in Misenheimer, N.C.

The Falcons (25-14, 11-4 CC) had three players with multi-hit games. The Bobcats (7-28, 3-10) produced three hits.

PU scored a trio of runs in the fourth before striking for two more in the fifth.

LMC's Kara Cunningham (Indian Trail, N.C.), Karly McRary (Marion, N.C.) and Sarah Stallings (Greensboro, N.C.) all reached on singles.

Junior Taylor Billings (Sophia, N.C.) (4-6) suffered the loss after allowing two runs in three innings.

The Falcons (26-14, 12-4) worked around two errors while Sam Jarmusch (7-2) earned the win after allowing one hit. The Bobcats (7-29, 3-11) scored their lone run in the top of the seventh.

Trailing 4-0, Sarah Tucker (Monroe, N.C.) opened the seventh with a double and scored on a fielding error.

LMC notched another hit off the bat of Kara Travis (Conover, N.C.), but was unable to tie the contest.

The Bobcats welcome Mars Hill Monday, April 11 at 3 & 5 p.m. for a nonconference tilt in Banner Elk, N.C.
