Seven LMC Softball Players land spots on the Academic All-Conference team

HIGH POINT, N.C. – The Lees-McRae College softball team had seven of its players recognized Tuesday by the league office with Academic All-Conference honors. Noel Cassidy, Kara Cunningham, Alix Green, Karly McRary, Emily Merriam, Andi Milan and Megan Paradise were the Bobcats to be named to the team.

The seven Bobcats were among 64 softball players to be recognized with this honor. Student-Athletes make the team for maintaining a cumulative grade point average of 3.25 or higher on a 4.0 scale.  GPA is calculated based on the student-athlete's cumulative average through the previous semester, and each student-athlete must have attended their member institution for at least one academic year. Academic All-Conference Teams are comprised of juniors and seniors who play in one of Conference Carolina's twenty-one sponsored sports.

Each year the Academic All-Conference Teams are released as part of the championship season.  The Conference Carolinas Softball Tournament will be held April 27-29 from Burlington, North Carolina's Springwood Park. For additional information on this weekend's tournament, click HERE.
