Frank Rosato just wrapped up his second season as Athletics Operations Manager in the 2018-19 academic year.
Rosato was hired in May 2017 as the department's new Athletics Operations Manager and Assistant Softball Coach. In his role, Rosato will work with transportation, field maintenance and game day operations, while also coaching the outfielders for the softball team.
“I am excited to have Frank working in our department, his knowledge of sports and ability to manage tasks will set us up well for the future,” said LMC Vice President Director of Athletics and Club Sports Craig McPhail. “Having him work with our softball team is something we are looking forward to as the program continues to grow.”
Rosato comes to Banner Elk with degrees Health and Physical Education, Education and Management from Lock Haven University, Becker College and Webster University, respectively. In addition to his degrees, Rosato has had a wealth of supervisory experiences under his belt including stints as the Executive Director/Headmaster at The Park House Academy from 2005-2010, Managing Director of Residential and Educational Service for the Grandfather Home for Children from 2010 to 2015 before spending this past year as the Director of Program Operations for Central Florida Group Homes in Winter Park, Fla.
“I am extremely excited for this opportunity working within the athletic department and assisting the softball program,” Rosato said. “I have been a fan of Lees McRae College since my family and I moved to Banner Elk in 2010. It is great now to be a member of the Bobcat family. I want to give a special thank you to Craig McPhail for making this possible.”
