Regis Runs Past Lady Bobcats

The Lees-McRae Lady Bobcats lacrosse team battled Regis University Sunday afternoon in non-conference action, falling 23-2 to the Lady Rangers. The Lady Bobcats fall to 0-5 while Regis improves to 2-0.

Chrissy Yetter led the way for the Lady Rangers scoring five goals and adding two assists. Jen Gunlikson found the back of the net six times while Caroline Herter was good for four. Lillian Yanni and Maggie Stephenson each scored hat tricks, with Amanda Ponzer rounding out the scoring with a pair.

Ali Shrodes and Brittany Dabkowski, (pictured top left), scored the Lady Bobcats goals, both in the first half. Both were also the first of the season for the pair.

Olivia Maurey made seven saves in the Lady Bobcats net while Brittany Farniok also registered seven in the Regis goal.

The game was played on a neutral field, at Limestone College in Gaffney, SC.

The Lady Bobcats will play three more consecutive non-conference contests, starting with College of Notre Dame at 2:00pm Monday March 12.
